Squealing noise from under the hood could be a few different things, but it's probably got something to do with the serpentine belt! A loose, worn, or age hardened belt is prone to slip, and that can make a chirping squealing noise. Belt pulleys with bad bearings can grind, chirp or squeal. Worst of all, if a stuck frozen seized pulley can't turn, the belt slips over it, making lots of nose, and also heating and wearing out the belt, which will break it sooner than later! In this short, Sue points out the problem behind our squealing noise!
