The Arai Corsair-X is a helmet that needs no introduction. Known all over the world as one of the premier motorcycle helmets on the market, Arai’s reputation precedes itself. The Motorcycle.com staff has worn and trusted Arai helmets for as long as we can remember. Some of us (raising hand) also have the unfortunate distinction of having crashed in an Arai.

We’ll talk about Arai’s “Glancing Off” philosophy and how it determines everything about their helmets. But we’ll also get into the downsides and negative aspects of the Corsair-X – because as much as Arais are so well known and loved, they are not without their faults.
