I had to replace the alternator on my wife’s 2012 Honda Odyssey recently. I believe the root cause of that alternator failure was an oil leak from the front valve cover on the engine.
In this video I show you step by step how to replace all of the seals on the front and back valve covers, as well as PCV valve replacement, on the Honda J35 engine. I also show how to adjust the valves on this VCM equipped engine.
