The 1992 Acura Legend L is a cult classic, but it’s more than just some luxury sedan that people liked 33 years ago. It’s the car that built the Acura brand, proved Honda could challenge BMW and Mercedes-Benz, and pushed Toyota and Nissan into creating Lexus and Infiniti. But the success of the Legend proved to be a cautionary tale of sudden success, lost confidence, and blending into the crowd. Remember when automakers used to make cars for love of the game? Yeah, me neither. On this week’s episode of Regular Car Reviews, I drive the 1992 Acura Legend L to see if this 90s Japanese luxury sedan deserves the name.
