What’s this?! A Volvo that’s not an SUV?! Indeed, say hello to the all-new Volvo ES90: a five-metre-long, all-electric executive saloon to rival cutting-edge EVs like the BMW i5, Audi A6 e-tron and Polestar 4.
The ES90’s biggest selling points are an enormous 435 miles of range and truly ultra-rapid charging abilities, plus a sophisticated interior that’s spacious and filled with technology, including one of the best stereos we’ve ever treated our ears to. It will even do 0-62mph in four seconds if you get the 671bhp dual-motor version.
However, prices for the ES90 start from nearly £70,000, which is more than any of those rivals we mention. So our news reporter Ellis Hyde headed to Monaco to find out if Volvo’s big new saloon is worth the big price tag…
