At the recently concluded Motoverse festival, Royal Enfield debuted a self-branded airbag vest at one of its stands. Built in India by Neokavach, the way it works is via a tether that is attached to your two-wheeler. The airbag is inflated once the airbag tether is pulled with sufficient force - a gentle tug if you forget to untether it when getting off the bike won’t trigger the system.
Here’s Rishaad Mody to give you a closer look. Royal Enfield was selling this airbag vest at the Motoverse festival for Rs 35,000 and replacement gas canisters will be available at Rs 2,000. However, the company has not yet revealed when the airbag vest will be available through its online and retail outlets.
