Welcome to the 2026 TopGear.com Awards, our annual event where we hand out honours to the new cars that have impressed and excited us most over the past 12 months. They now get to reign supreme through 2026 as our favourites.

We’ve got everything from superminis to hypercars, via innovative EVs, to muscle cars and off roaders turned up to 11, all united by the fact we reckon they’re rather good. But the big question is, who’ll take home the ultimate accolade of 2026 Car of the Year?
