Saying that Archos sells a number of different tablets is like saying that Crayola makes a few crayon colors; for a manufacturer without the brand recognition of a Samsung, Archos manages to put out an impressive variety of tablets, in all the different sizes, colors, and price ranges you could hope for. We already showed you one of the company's 2013 smartphones, and now we switch gears for a moment to dive into the array of tablets Archos brought along to the IFA this year.
First, there's the Chef Pad, one of Archos's "themed" tablets. This one's designed -- obviously -- with cooking in mind, and is made for use in the kitchen right alongside you as you work. Archos lets the tablet filter apps to bring you a selection laser-focused on food prep.
Then there's the Archos 80 Xenon, a tablet from the company's Elements series. For an Android tablet, it has an unusual 4:3 iPad-like display, though this one an eight-inch 1027 x 768 component.
Finally, we have the 101 XS 2, a newcomer to the Archos lineup. It features a 1.6GHz quad-core SoC, 1280 x 800 screen, and has dual stereo front-facing speakers. The most interesting part may be a pop-off keyboard cover that coverts into a stand for the tablet.
See all three in action with our hands-on look below.
