If you're on Verizon and want a Windows Mobile device with a sliding keyboard, you now have two choices: the LG Fathom and the Touch Pro2. In this video, we cover the hardware of the Fathom. Overall, the device doesn't look or feel as high quality as the Touch Pro2. We like the stylus placement....it's within very easy reach. The keyboard feels good in general, but isn't as nice as that on the Touch Pro2.

In terms of specifications, the Fathom is running the Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU at 1GHz. It has 256MB of RAM, and 512MB of ROM. For storage, it uses microSD, but Verizon didn't include any extra memory. The screen is resistive (which is why there is a stylus) and is 3.2" at 800x480 resolution. The color reproduction and contract of the screen was excellent. Beyond that, the Fathom has a proximity and light sensor, plus an accelerometer. It's a world phone, which is nice. It also has the usual suspects: WiFi, Bluetooth, and EVDO Rev A.
