AWS London Summit 2018 - Breakout Session:
The design of your workload should include how it will be deployed, tested, updated and operated. Deployment should use a consistent process in order to understand when you are ready to go live. Designing with Ops in Mind and using a governance process to make informed decisions on launching your workloads makes operations easier and more effective, making it easier to meet or exceed business objectives.

In this session, we will take you through the deployment of your entire workload (application, infrastructure, policy, governance and operations) using infrastructure as code, and continuous integration and continuous deployment methods. We will show you how it is possible to bring the same engineering disciplines that you use for application code to every element of your stack. You will learn how to apply operational readiness reviews to ensure that risk based decisions are used to make the determination to go live. Discussion will focus on tools to enable your review and things to consider so that you can know that both your workload, and your team are prepared to support operations. This session is for product owners, developments teams, operations, service owners and anyone interested in ensuring their workloads will run efficiently and effectively.
