In this demo, we will use Amazon SageMaker to predict rock or lithology types from log measurements, such as density, gamma ray, porosity, and resistivity. Conventionally, this is a time-consuming, manual process that requires you analyze each measurement separately, and requires collecting core data which can be very costly. With machine learning you can interpret data automatically, generating precise measurements in near real-time without the need for core data.
