Advancing IT Modernization in Government

Can you think of a time when your agency started a procurement process and by the time good or service was available to your team, it was out of date? Or perhaps there was a next generation version already available? How about when the fiscal year ended and you had money left in a budget line item that you wished you could invest for the following fiscal year? Government agencies have started to invent and simplify the procurement process. Some of the creative solutions include working capital funds under the Modernizing Government Technology Act to multiyear contracts and procurement competitions. In this session, we will compare and contrast case studies of successful procurement models used by the U.S. federal government, U.S. States, as well as international examples.
