Amazon GuardDuty is a threat detection service that now features GuardDuty Malware Protection to help detect malicious files residing on an instance or container workload running on Amazon EC2 without deploying security software or agents.

GuardDuty continuously monitors your AWS accounts, instances, container workloads, users, and storage for malicious activity and delivers detailed security findings for visibility and remediation. GuardDuty Malware Protection adds file scanning for workloads utilizing Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) volumes to detect malware that can be used to compromise resources, modify access permissions, and exfiltrate data. New GuardDuty accounts in each Region can receive a 30-day free trial of GuardDuty, including the Malware Protection feature. Existing GuardDuty accounts receive a 30-day trial of Malware Protection at no additional charge the first time it is enabled in an account.
