“A great success story.” That’s what Mariusz K Kaczmarek, PrivatBank’s vice president of IT and banking operations calls the organization’s migration to AWS. The Ukraine-based bank, which has 20 million retail customers and serves 40 percent of the population, needed to protect its services and infrastructure in the wake of the country’s war against Russia. Here, Kaczmarek talks about how, with help from AWS, the company migrated all its applications to the cloud in just 2 months, giving people undisrupted access to their funds and online services.
