Capture Multiple Scenes | Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers Framework Quick Tips

Learn how to capture streams from multiple scenes of your game all in one session. We'll go show you how to use the multiple deferred capture and fixed frame capture features of Intel GPA Framework. These streams be saved for further performance analysis.

Intel GPA Framework is and application programming interface (API) that allow you to create your own graphics performance analysis applications. Tools are also provided with the framework that allow you to perform simple graphics analysis. In this video, we show how to use gpa-injector.exe to capture multiple graphics streams from an application all in one session. This is called multiple deferred capture, and it is a powerful feature that will allow you to isolate the scene in your game that interests you the most and cut out the unnecessary menus and loading screens. We also go over fixed frame captures which enables you to capture a fixed number of frames from your game. You can even capture one single frame to create a stream that is small and gives you an accurate understanding of the possible performance bottlenecks in your scene. All streams captured using deferred mode can then be opened using Intel GPA Frame Analyzer and there you can visually see all the potential performance optimizations that can be made to your game’s rendered scenes.
