0:02:24 Adam talks about colors
0:06:24 Adam addresses whether or not "Mythbusters could live on YouTube"
0:08:00 Were you ever scared of being stuck in an explosion episode inflation spiral on MythBusters? It seems each explosion was larger by orders of magnitudes. Was the push to keep going bigger an internal decision, or was there pressure from the network?
0:14:52 As you mentioned colour charts Im wondering what you think are the essential colours and paint types you think a small shop should have. Thank you for all the wonderful work you all do
0:16:30 I’ve been an industrial maintenance, electronics technician, doing r&d etc… for over a decade, how do I transition from 9-5 to freelance work? Problem solving is my passion and I need more variety.
0:22:07 How do you approach research for your designs? I’m in a set design class that’s pushing me, but I’m struggling to figure out what i’m looking for and where to start
0:30:03 Is there a prop that would take so long to build you just can't even bring yourself to start?
0:31:09 Have you ever had to choose between long-term durability of a prop, and the timely completion of said prop? I work so much faster when I'm not worrying about how it'll someday be stored or saved.
0:35:12 Do you have ever trouble getting certain fabrics or designs from cosplays? I saw the Wolverine costume video y’all put out and thought how difficult it must be to get the yellow screen printed fabric as a regular person.
0:37:26 What is a project that you have always wanted to make with your partner. I'm married as well and the idea of making something with my wife has always been floating in my mind.
0:44:30 Has it always been "The Cave" and is there an origin to the name?
0:46:55 Tested’s prop auction coverage never fails to elicit in the comments an understandable but counterproductive bitterness towards private collectors; a notion that the market robs the public of artifacts that would otherwise be on display. This saddens me as a collector, not just because the market has played critical roles in prompting the amount of material in museums today, but also because most folks wishing they could own a cool prop genuinely could do so; the low end (i.e. 50 to a few hundred) remains surprisingly accessible with sufficient research, flexibility, and patience. One factor may be that viewers primarily see mid to high-end examples; I’d respectfully suggest covering some lower-end material in future videos. Beyond that, do you have any thoughts on how we might reach this demographic that loves props but scorns collectors?
0:50:49 What are your plans for the evergrowing stack of labels on the workshop filming slate? Remove them before they topple and display? Archive? Build a support structure and keep on stackin’? None of the above?
0:53:50 Adam reflects on the Tested community
0:56:08 In your current state of life do you enjoy making stuff or watching people make stuff more?
0:57:31 On Mythbusters, what was a myth you wanted to test but fell apart before anything interesting occurred/could be filmed?
