World Surf League (WSL) collects hundreds of thousands of real-time data points throughout the competition season. They worked with AWS Partner AllCloud to collect, centralize and analyze this data to create a comprehensive dashboard that gives commentators instant access to insights, which they can weave into their on-screen commentary. From distance and speed traveled to historical performance comparisons, commentators can now provide viewers with a data-informed perspective on the world's greatest surfers as they tackle one of the most unpredictable playing fields on the planet – the ocean.
