Nexus 6 Android 6.0 Marshmallow vs. iPhone 6 iOS 9 vs. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge!

We bring you today an interesting speed test between the latest versions of the two most popular mobile OSs, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, iPhone 6 iOS 9 Beta with Android’s currently released OS, Android Lollipop running on Nexus 6, iPhone6 and S6 Edge respectively.

All the smartphones were connected to the same Wi-Fi and server prior to the speed test. When the speed test was conducted using the OOKLA Speedtest app on all 3 devices. The Nexus6 reached a download and upload speeds of over 100Mbps whereas the iPhone 6 struggled in reaching a 100Mbps. And the S 6 Edge easily reached up to the level of the Nexus smartphone.

The selected server was changed for a second test to see how the smart devices would perform on a different server. But the results were not so different.  The speeds of Nexus 6 remained at the same level but we could see that the iPhone6 went even lower, not even being able to reach 100Mbps download speed. While the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge was able to secure a speed above 100Mbps but unfortunately this time, lower than the Nexus.
