The Honda Civic Type R is an extreme hot hatch to rival the Renaultsport Megan Trophy and SEAT Leon Cupra. It may only be front-wheel-drive but with 306hp 2.0-litre turbo V-TEC engine it's capable of challenging all-wheel-drive rivals like the Ford Focus RS and Volkswagen Golf R. That's because its limited slip differential and clever front suspension geometry really let it put its power down. With a 0-60mph time of under six seconds and a top speed of 168mph, the Civic Type R is the fastest Honda road car ever after the all-new NSX supercar. But is it any good?
