This is the new Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster, officially revealed ahead of its debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show later this month. The soft-top version of AMG’s flagship is available as two variants – taking the AMG GT family up to five models – both packing more power and torque than the equivalent hardtop, while featuring chassis tech from the hardcore GT R.
The entry AMG GT Roadster develops 469bhp and 630Nm of torque from its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, which is 13bhp and 30Nm more than the hardtop. Above that sits the AMG GT C Roadster, with a full 549bhp and 680Nm – that puts it between the 503bhp GT S coupe and 577bhp GT R. All AMG GT models use Merc’s seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
