When this car's original 5.0 liter V8 blew up, Stephen had a bold idea to replace it: The Toyota 2JZ. Not only did he swap the engine, he did it well enough that it is fully legal in California (no easy thing). Is it sacrilegious to take out a V8 and replace it with a boosted legend from Japan? We don't think so.
Stephen, flame suit on.
The 1995 Mustang GT was the last year the SN95 came with the 302 cu. in. Windsor, and as a send-off, Ford gave the car a now-adobable 215HP, and 285TQ. It weighed 3,300lbs, cost about $30k in today's money, but a Camaro made a lot more horsepower. While the aftermarket is more supportive of the 5.0 than a helicopter parent, Stephen wanted to be different.
