Veyron! Another Veyron! Chiron! Mistral!
This orange and black quartet are Bugatti’s top speed ‘World Record’ cars – and this is the only time all four examples of such models have ever been together.
Such a public gathering will only happen in the future at the behest of this Mistral’s owner, too. See, while there are multiples of the (deep breath) Veyron 16.4 Super Sport World Record Edition, Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Edition and Chiron Super Sport 300+ – and said owner has one of each – there is only one W16 Mistral World Record Car.
So, with this specially commissioned one-of-one Mistral still warm from its 282mph top-speed world record run earlier that day, we grabbed Bugatti’s Director of Design, Frank Heyl, for this once-in-a-lifetime walkaround.
