FIRST LOOK: BMW Speedtop – £500k M8 Superwagon!

BMW is getting into the coachbuilding business, and off the back of a modern-day 3.0 CSL and the Skytop roadster, it’s now building this Speedtop in ultra-limited numbers. Think of it as an M8 ‘shooting brake’ with lashing of leather and much luxury. But when the company’s range kicks off with a £30k 1-series hatchback, does the BMW brand really have the bandwidth to stretch to such heady heights of half-a-million quid?
