The Audi A8 L was already a very safe luxury sedan, but the A8 L Security dials things up to the max. It's a stronghold on wheels that's able to tank AK47 rounds, explosive sniper shots, hand grenades, and the like. The A8 L Security also gets a beacon and a bevy of strobe lights to ensure efficient convoy movement, PAX run-flat tyres that can travel 80km at up to 80kph while deflated, an emergency exit system that blows the 160kg doors clean off, a fire extinguishing system, an in-cabin air purifier in case of a chemical attack, and more. All of these upgrades make for a portly kerb weight of almost 4.5 tonnes, but the A8 L Security's 571hp 4.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 and Quattro AWD help the armoured sedan achieve an impressive claimed 0-100kph time of 6.3 seconds.
