The G3258 is a pretty amazing processor. In terms of gaming, there really isn't anything that can match it in terms of value. BUT until now it required a Z97 or Z87 motherboard in order to get that amazing overclocking value.

Now ASUS has a couple tricks up their sleeves to save you a few bucks and perhaps get you into a better motherboard, while still maintaining the same performance.
