openSUSE leap 42.1 has been released an announced by openSUSE developers. This release brings KDE Plasma 5.4.2 as the main desktop environment, powered by the latest long-term support Linux 4.1.10 kernel, include most of KDE applications 15.08 and Non KDE apps like Firefox 41, GIMP, LibreOffice 5. YaST as openSUSE technologies get numerous improvements modules, and various other under-the-hood changed to YaST
