Kyocera did a pretty could job maintaining a high level of build quality on the Echo. While the device is mainly made of plastic, it feels solid in hand. But, it's not a good looking device, characterized by a squarish design. It's also quite heavy.
The device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz CPU with 512MB of RAM. On the back there is a 5MP camera with flash. The Echo comes with two batteries (since powering two screens is going to use a lower of power), both of which are 1370mAh.
Opening the Echo with one hand is nearly impossible...you must use two hands to extend the second screen. Once open, there are two positions for the top screen. You can lay it flat like a tablet, or have it be tilted, providing a more comfortable angle. In the tilted position, the screen doesn't lock into place, making it cumbersome to operate, since it moves when you touch it.
