Never much of a player in the US smartphone scene, Sharp was once king of the hill when it came to PDAs -- in fact, its Wizards were the portable data carriers of choice before Palm (and then Microsoft) came storming onto the scene. And for their era, these Wizards provided a ton of functionality: all the PIM features you'd expect from a top-of-the-line PDA, plus a QWERTY keyboard, backlight, and expansion slot with a very, very low DPI touchscreen. Soon replaced by more capacious models sporting 64KB, 256KB, and more, the 7600 will nonetheless retain a unique place in gadget history, as Sharp's first clamshell to offer a non-ABCD keyboard. But enough with this tiresome reading, it's time to sit back and do some passive viewing.
