Jon R is back to discuss various topics in and out of the tech world. On this week’s episode, Jon riffs on the Amazon Fire Phone. The Fire Phone has been burning a hole in Jon’s pocket for the past five days, not enough time for a full review but enough time for Jon to get familiar with the device and give us his initial thoughts. There is a lot to like about the Fire Phone, having all of Amazon’s services just a swipe or click away and an impressive camera with good low light performance are some of the things Jon likes about the Fire Phone. Unfortunately, there are also several things Jon doesn’t like. The phone’s surface is primarily glass which makes it a fingerprint magnet and navigating the Fire OS UI can be a nightmare. Amazon is pushing out a software update before the release of the phone which will hopefully fix a lot of the issues. Jon is going to keep testing the Fire Phone so stay tuned for our full review coming in about a week. All this and more in this episode of Rettinger’s Riffs! MORE: bit.ly/1lxwb1S
