iPad Mini, New iMac, & More! Apple Event Recap

The competition is nipping at Apple's heels, and the company will want to do everything it can to create separation as consumers look to throw down their hard earned dollars. What did Apple reveal? A lot. Apple shrunk its iPad, and also updated the larger version? The iPad mini's existence is a clear response to the competition, and shows that Apple doesn't want to let the smaller tablet market slip away. Devices like the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD are excellent alternatives to Apple's larger offerings, but now that the iPad mini exists, consumers will have some hard thinking to do before deciding which tablet to get. It'll be interesting to see how folks respond to the difference in price: 16GB iPad mini for $329, and 8GB Nexus 7 for $200. And we may even see Google go lower than that next week.
