Traditional DR has had a spotty record for enterprises. This session compares conventional approaches to DR to those using the AWS Cloud. The session discusses the 4 ascending levels of DR options and the benefits/tradeoffs across the options. The speaker talks about backup and restore architectures both on Amazon and using partner products with an example of NetApp SteelStore. The presenter showcases other partner solutions including CloudEndure and Racemi, the monthly costs of the 4 architectures, and a quick listing of other partner products that assist in backup, recovery, DR, and Continuity of Operations (COOP).
