We welcomed the cofounder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian for a Fishbowl to discuss his career and best-selling book Without Their Permission: The Story of Reddit and a Blueprint for How to Change the World.
Alexis grew up in the suburbs of Baltimore, MD with dreams of becoming a professional football player. After graduating from University of Virginia, he turned his efforts towards in his words, “making the world suck less.” In addition to cofounding Reddit (which he returned to in 2015 with his cofounder, leading what is now the 4th largest site in the US), he cofounded a seed stage venture fund called Initialized Capital, wrote his best-selling book, and is an activist for the open internet. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife Serena Williams and their new baby.
