AWS Quick Start for SQL Server 2017 on Amazon EC2

On the next This Is My Architecture (amzn.to/2ChpEaK), Santiago from AWS' very own Quick Start team walks us through their design for SQL Server 2017 on EC2. Quick Starts are automated, gold standard reference deployments that make it easy for customers to deploy complex solutions on AWS. You'll learn how our Quick Start team uses CloudFormation stack nesting for modular design, allowing customers to customize and quickly launch enterprise-grade SQL Server deployments on AWS. Like SQL Server on Amazon RDS, the SQL Server 2017 Quick Start can use AWS Directory Service for Microsoft Active Directory domain management. It differs in that it uses Always On Availability Groups and Windows Server Failover Clusters to provide HA and DR.We'll explain how it is multi-AZ out of the box, and also how it can be extended across 3 Availability Zones and potentially multiple regions.
