Sanath Ramesh Kumar, Software Development Engineer, AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM), and Heitor Lessa, Specialist Solutions Architect walk through an interactive live-coding session on www.twitch.tv/aws, adding features to the AWS SAM Open Source Project. AWS SAM extends AWS CloudFormation to provide a simplified way of defining the resources needed by your serverless application. In this session, you learn how to get started with SAM development and get introduced to the SAM codebase by fixing a small bug. We walk through how to set up the developer environment, identify an easy bug to fix from Github Issues, review the codebase, write unit tests, and eventually fix the bug and submit a Pull Request.
