Students at West Creek High School in Clarksville, TN, got a powerful lesson in empathy and inclusion thanks to the WE Are One accessibility curriculum, Microsoft’s new Soundscape app, and the band X Ambassadors. Soundscape is an app designed to assist people who are blind or have low vision through 3D sound. Students used Soundscape to help them navigate to the band’s rehearsal for an intimate performance and Q&A. X Ambassadors keyboardist Casey is blind, and the band are major advocates for accessibility and inclusion. Microsoft was thrilled to bring them together with WE to help students understand how important it is that everyone has the same opportunities to feel included.
