Migration and Cloud Transformation at the United States Transportation Command

USTRANSCOM is one of the first DOD organizations to use AWS for cloud migration of mission-critical applications in both GovCloud and soon the classified region. This presentation will focus on the process USTRANSCOM has started to successfully migrate all of their applications to AWS. Topics to be highlighted include Executive Sponsorship, Cloud Computing Center of Excellence, the Cloud Journey Simulation, selecting the proper integrator, training, and compliance automation. USTC has migrated a number of apps into production capacity in AWS, with plans to migrate their NIPRNet presence by the end of the calendar year, and will continue their journey with IL-6 workloads in AWS's classified region.
