The session focuses on Open Data and how it is being used by various organisations, such as ESRI and The Weather Company, to deliver their services. Chris also sheds light on AWS public datasets, such as Landsat imagery data, that anyone can access for free and analyze at web scale with little up-front investment. The session goes on to expound on AWS IoT that enables devices to make easy and secure connections to the cloud and reliably scale to billions of devices and messages. Chris Hayman also touches upon data analytics using AWS Big Data Platform, comprised of a set of AWS solutions spread over data collection, data orchestrating, storage and analysis.
