Service Management, the Easy Way (Cloud Next '19)

Managing, securing, and understanding services was hard enough when you just had to deal with one, but in the age of microservices, all service management problems are multiplied. Powered by Istio and Kubernetes, Google's CSM gives you a one-stop shop for deeply understanding what's happening in your microservice potpourri. And you don't have to manage Istio and Kubernetes yourself.

Given a complex example mesh, we walk through our system together, using the different features of CSM to understand what's in play, what's going wrong, and how to fix it.

In the process, we also naturally discuss the SRE/DevOps philosophies, best practices, and the ways in which CSM is built to help you up-level your organization's service-management game.
