Automated Fleet Solutions (AFSOL) works with the Western Cape Provincial Government in South Africa to provide an Intelligent Transport System to better monitor and manage Public Transport. Working with an AWS APN Partner, FuseIT, they built a system called Public Transport Management System (PTMS). Their solution uses AWS API Gateway and AWS Lambda to leverage the Static and Mobile License Plate Recognition camera networks which captures 6mill license plates and verifies them against the Public Transport Regulatory Systems (PTRS). Hosting their systems with AWS allows them to be more flexible as they continue to innovate.
