Fortinet Uses AWS Serverless to Provide a Highly Available Control-Plane for their FortiWeb CloudWAF

Fortinet’s Cloud WAF as a Service protects applications by deploying FortiWeb clusters in the same AWS region as the protected application, and takes advantage of the elasticity, and reliability of AWS in both data plane and management plane architectures. Delivering WAF as a Service as close to the application as possible reduces overall costs for the end customer, while also simplifying regulatory concerns, improving performance, and reducing bandwidth costs. Combining FortiWeb’s web application protection capabilities with the capabilities of AWS delivers true multi-tenant WAF-as-a-Service solution for protecting web applications deployed in AWS.
