Using AWS, NuData helps customers fight fraud and protect consumers online. Acquired by Mastercard in 2017, NuData is a Canadian startup using machine learning to detect and prevent account-takeover fraud. NuData uses Amazon SageMaker to improve detection of fraudulent attacks such as credential stuffing, along with Elastic Load Balancing and AWS Lambda to provide real-time device intelligence and enable passive biometrics for account verification.
The company also uses Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Redshift Spectrum, Amazon S3, and AWS Step Functions to simplify its machine learning architecture and optimize its training workflow, resulting in a 60 percent reduction in the time it takes to develop models. Financial institutions use Amazon CloudFront, AWS Global Accelerator, and AWS PrivateLink to connect to NuData solutions, depending on their compliance, regulatory, and security needs.
