In this video tutorial, you’ll learn how to switch over users to a different Microsoft 365 subscription. As your users change roles, they may need features that aren’t available in their current subscription. You can add a new subscription that includes those features and assign licenses to the people who need them.

To add a new subscription, go to the Microsoft 365 admin center and select “billing” then “purchase services.” Here you can review your options and choose the subscription you would like to add. Once you buy, your new subscription will be added to your account. To change the license that’s currently assigned to a user, select “users” then “active users” and the name of the user. Once you select the user, go to “licenses and apps,” where you will see your new subscription to select and the previous license to uncheck. You can either remove the old subscription to make sure you aren’t paying for more than you need, or you can assign the unused license to a different user.
