[LENOVO THINKPAD X1 FOLD: INTO THE FOLD EPISODE 5]
For the past four episodes of “Into The Fold,” we’ve talked about how the folding screen changes the way we use our smartphones. Well, nearly two years ago Lenovo posed the same question to laptop users … and today, we finally get to start answering it.
This is the third time the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold has graced the MrMobile YouTube channel, but the first time it’s doing so in final retail form. And while the full X1 Fold review will take more time, one thing is already clear: Lenovo has succeeded in porting many of the conveniences from the world of the folding phone – while also avoiding many of the pitfalls we’ve seen in that space in 2020 The ThinkPad X1 Fold’s display is more robust than the folding screens of its smartphone cousins, and at the larger scale of a 13.3” laptop, its utility is substantially greater as well. That’s thanks in no small part to the X1 Fold’s wireless keyboard and Lenovo Mod Pen, both of which have been thoughtfully integrated into every mode of the X1’s operation.
We’ll explore the setbacks that Windows 10 foists upon this experience in the full ThinkPad X1 Fold review. For now, join Michael Fisher to explore the question of what a folding display does for a laptop, in Into The Fold episode 5!
