The new LGA 1700 socket supports Intel’s 12th Gen Alder Lake Desktop CPU and is powered by a high-end power delivery. It gets it’s juice by dual 8-pin connectors with metal shielding. And, to keep the power delivery cool, Gigabyte unveiled their brand new, next generation thermal design which is part of Aorus’s Fins Array III design and will offer some serious cooling power to your system. All Aorus ATX Motherboards will feature DDR5 Xtreme memory design with SMT DIMM and Shielded Memory routing. In terms of expansion, this board gives you a single PCIE 5.0 slot, 2 PCIE 4.0 slots, and 5 M.2 slots which are cooled off by Thermal Guard III. PCIE Gen5 offers double the bandwidth of Gen4, which is a huge benefit for data centers and future storage options.
