Olympiah Otieno meets with her mentor Ria Cheruvu, AI Ethics Lead Architect at Intel, to get advice on her computer vision career path, work-life balance, and her artificial intelligence project. Olympiah’s applying hands on experience from the AWS AI & ML Scholarship program to co-develop a mobile app that identifies Kenyan crop disease and solutions.

The AWS Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Scholarship program, in collaboration with Udacity, aims to help underrepresented and underserved high school and college students learn foundational machine learning concepts to prepare them for careers in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
