This in-depth session focuses on the creation of a cloud-native core on AWS for Swisscom, Switzerland’s leading telco operator. Embracing cloud capabilities that allow for more agility and scaling, Nahum and Zeb discuss the architectural approach for network cloudification for 5G core as such a telco workload has to fulfill special requirements related to performance and data sovereignty. They apply a design build on micro-services that provides improved agility and faster time to market as operators shift from managing network functions to managing customer experiences. This also paves the way for a new commercial foundation that requires less resource and capex to drive customer-oriented innovation.
