Vimeo’s collaborative workplace now runs on Google Meet & Gemini for Workspace

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: Vimeo’s busy cross-functional team members must work collaboratively and keep meetings efficient to remain productive. While they already used their own platform to share assets for video-based projects and quickly navigate video content with AI summaries, they needed additional collaboration tools for all of their work — especially for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations — and new ways to get the most out of online meetings.

𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Vimeo introduced Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides company-wide. The apps allow multiple people to work in the same documents simultaneously. Switching their videoconferencing to Google Meet lets them leverage the AI-based note-taking and summarizing capabilities of Gemini for Google Workspace. This helps them focus better during online meetings and clarifies action items for each participant afterward.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀: Collaborating more easily on all projects has helped Vimeo work more efficiently. With no need to take notes, team meetings are more productive because team members remain undistracted and engaged. Vimeo employees have also found additional uses for Gemini. Generating first drafts from prompts helps them be more creative. Creating presentation outlines and email drafts from meeting notes helps them work more efficiently. And using Gemini to fact-check research keeps their work accurate.
