Redefining Livestock Care in the Digital Age | Amazon Web Services

Published on 19 Sep 2023, 20:26
Built on AWS, CattleEye is the world's first hardware-independent autonomous livestock monitoring platform. Utilising a standard security camera, CattleEye technology captures footage of each cow as they exit the milking parlour, recording, and analysing their movements. This facilitates proactive care, offering farmers insights into their herd’s health, and productivity. The platform's mobility scoring module monitors cow locomotion, pinpointing those in need of attention. By assisting in the selection of cows for hoof trimming and treatments, CattleEye effectively reduces lameness, boosting efficiency and reducing their herd’s carbon footprint. Farmers adopting this herd management technology realise an average saving of $420 per cow annually.
