Amazon EFS Archive is the lowest cost storage class for your rarely-accessed file datasets on AWS Cloud. Amazon EFS provides serverless, fully elastic file storage that makes it simple to set up and run file workloads on AWS.

EFS Archive is cost-optimized for storing data accessed a few times a year or less, ensuring customers have a cost-effective way to retain their coldest data so that it’s always available to generate new business insights. With the addition of this storage class to Amazon EFS, customers can now choose from three storage classes to meet price and performance needs, with intelligent tiering across these classes based on workload access patterns.
