Veriff Makes Identity Verification Simple Using Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Rekognition

Veriff turned to AWS to optimize its identity verification service, improving accuracy and efficiency for the benefit of its customers. In an era where fraudulent activity is increasing, the company wanted to improve the cost and performance of its identity verification service to support its global customer base. To accomplish this, Veriff adopted Amazon Rekognition to enhance its facial recognition capabilities and Amazon SageMaker to streamline its document detection and authentication workflows. By making these changes, the company achieved a 27 percent cost reduction for machine learning model training and can verify user faces in less than 1 second.
